We purchased our shockwave in April 2024, and by June 2024 we started to see a positive ROI. It would have been sooner, but we had also onboarded a new chiropractor and had to focus a bit more on that in May 2024. It was fast.

As a predominantly sports-injury clinic, we see many extremity injuries. Shockwave in our clinic has been used mostly on the shoulder, foot/ankle, and knee. We do use it for spine-related issues, but the majority of cases have been extremities.

The clinical confidence we now have when using shockwave has been a huge positive and relief in my 21 years of practice.

We keep detailed tracking of our shockwave patients’ outcomes and the financials associated with them. It is a considerable investment, and we wanted to track the ROI. The great news is that it has increased not only our clinic’s revenue but also our profit and profit margin. Much of healthcare is commoditized, and shockwave not only delivers great results that spur more referrals but also has a very healthy profit margin.
